Hey Love!

I have something I need to share ASAP. Because I don’t know about you but I was built to stay and endure.

But not anymore.

I stayed in toxic workplaces even when they slowly dismantled my confidence.
I stayed in a marriage long after the love had left the room.
I stayed in relationships that should have ended years earlier.

Because I thought endurance was strength.
Because I thought loyalty meant staying.
Because I thought leaving meant failure.

And if I’m honest?

I didn’t just think that.

I inherited it.

For generations, the women in my family endured because they had to.
They didn’t have financial freedom.
They didn’t have emotional safety nets.
They didn’t have language for boundaries, trauma, nervous systems, or healing.

Staying wasn’t weakness.

Staying was survival.

And survival deserves honor.

But here’s the truth no one talks about: When survival becomes identity, we confuse suffering with strength.

And I did that for years. Until one day I realized something radical.

Because of them… I have options. Because of their endurance… I get to choose.

And breaking the cycle doesn’t always look like dramatic rebellion.

Sometimes it looks like this:

Quitting.

I quit environments that cost me my peace.
I quit relationships that require self-abandonment.
I quit narratives that glorify suffering.
I quit proving my worth through endurance.

And now I can proudly say this:

I’m a quitter.

Not because I’m weak.
But because I’m free.

Breaking cycles isn’t about shaming the past.

It’s about evolving it.

Your ancestors survived so you could have more options — not so you could keep surviving in the same way.

So if you’re at the edge of something right now…
A job that drains you.
A relationship that shrinks you.
A pattern that feels familiar but heavy.

Ask yourself: Am I staying because I truly want to…Or because staying feels safer than leaving?

That question alone can begin a revolution.

So ask it now…and reply back with your thoughts.

And If this resonates, I just released a YouTube video called:

“The Truth About Breaking Cycles No One Talks About.”

In it, I go deeper into what cycle-breaking actually feels like — including the grief, the guilt, and the loneliness that don’t get discussed.

You can watch it here👇🏾

And if you are breaking the cycle of enduring…
I want you to know something.

You are not betraying your lineage.

You are completing it.

We are free now.
