Reinvention can feel terrifying — especially when fear keeps showing up every time you try to change your life. In this story, I’ll explore why reinvention hasn’t worked for so many women, how fear is rooted in biology, and what it actually takes to reinvent your life in 2026.

Hey love,

Let me be honest with you.

Every single time I’ve reinvented my life, fear has been right there with me…sitting in the room, talking loud, questioning everything.

After my divorce, the fear sounded like:
Who am I now?
Who is Jasmine without this relationship?
Will I ever figure my life out again?

When I left my career to step fully into my business the first time, the fear was:
What if I fail?
What if I can’t make this work?
What if I gave up something safe for nothing?

And when I packed up my life and moved from Brooklyn to Miami (knowing absolutely no one) the fear became:
What if this is a mistake?
What if I’m wrong?

Fear has been present at every major reinvention of my life.

And I want you to hear this clearly:

👉🏽 That doesn’t mean you’re doing reinvention wrong.
👉🏽 It means you’re doing something brave.

Why Fear Shows Up Every Time You Try to Reinvent Your Life

So many women believe that one day they’ll wake up fearless and that’s when reinvention will finally work.

But that day never comes.

Because fear isn’t a flaw.
It’s biology.

Fear is your nervous system trying to keep you safe.
Trying to protect you from uncertainty, change, and the unknown.

The problem isn’t fear.

The problem is believing that fear means stop.

Because on the other side of fear has always been the thing I was praying for:

  • freedom

  • alignment

  • confidence

  • purpose

  • a life that actually felt like mine

Reinvention didn’t require me to eliminate fear.
It required me to understand it — and move with it.

The Biology of Fear and Why Change Feels Unsafe

From a neuroscience perspective, fear is simply your brain doing its job.

Your brain is wired for familiarity…not fulfillment.

Which means:

  • staying in the same relationship feels safer than leaving

  • staying in the same career feels safer than starting over

  • staying in the same identity feels safer than becoming someone new

Even when those things are slowly draining you.

So when reinvention hasn’t worked for you, it’s not because you’re weak, lazy, or broken.

It’s because your biology hasn’t been taught that change is safe.

And biology can be rewired.

What Actually Helped Me Move Forward (When Fear Was Loud)

What carried me through my biggest life transitions wasn’t confidence or willpower.

It was:

  • seeing other women reinvent their lives

  • hearing real stories…not the Instagram highlight reels

  • being in rooms with women who were afraid and courageous

  • having honest conversations about what was actually holding me back

That’s why I created The Courage Crew.

Not as a place to “fix” yourself, but as a space to understand yourself.

And that’s why I’m bringing back Reinvention Circles in 2026.

The Courage Crew Reinvention Circle — January 7, 2026

On January 7 at 6pm, I’m hosting our first Reinvention Circle of 2026:

Why Reinvention Hasn’t Worked for You — And What to Do Differently in 2026

This is not a lecture.
This is not a motivational speech.

It’s a real conversation.

Inside this live Reinvention Circle, we’ll explore:

  • what common fears keeps showing up every time you try to change

  • why willpower isn’t enough

  • how to approach reinvention differently in 2026 — without burning your life down

Think of it like this:
You and me, coffee on the couch, talking about the real stuff no one names.

You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at The Courage Crew community and how we’re supporting women through reinvention this year through conversation, science, spirituality, and sisterhood.

If You’re Standing at the Edge of Change Right Now…

If you’ve been:

  • wanting more but unsure how to move forward

  • starting and stopping your reinvention journey

  • afraid of making the “wrong” move

  • questioning who you’re becoming

This circle is for you.

Fear doesn’t mean you’re stuck.
It means something new is calling.

And you don’t have to answer it alone.
